New Moon International Media is dedicated to fostering community through Founded in 2021, New Moon International Media specializes in original cultural programming, live performance production, and integrated project management. With a strong understanding of the Chinese cultural market and evolving performance trends, New Moon was among the first cultural organizations in Greater Boston to integrate commercial sponsorship with artistic programming.
Guided by the philosophy of “Enriching Communities Through Culture,” New Moon uses music as a bridge to create meaningful cultural experiences, share diverse perspectives, and capture important moments within the Chinese and Asian communities. With an experienced team in creative planning, promotion, resource integration, and execution, New Moon connects arts and culture with brands through thoughtful and impactful collaborations. In recent years, the company has expanded its reach beyond Greater Boston, building connections across cities and exploring new models for cultural exchange, collaboration, and shared growth.

Yalan Peng 彭雅岚
Yalan Peng is the New moon international media inc Founder and Chair, an all-round musician, director, singer, record producer, and celebrity manager. She worked for China Records Guangzhou in the 1993, where she planned and produced many celebrity records, including: Li Jian 李健, ShuMuNianHua水木年华, QuYing瞿颖, Huangqiishan 黄绮珊, LiXiang 李湘, Lu Yi 陆毅, and more.
She moved to Boston in 2017 and served as a guest lecturer at Berklee College of Music's China-US Music Forum from 2017-2019. Yalan also planned and directed many public service music videos including: "Believe in Love" and "We are proud to be Asian", as well as projects such as the All American Chinese Youth Online Spring Festival, establishing New Moon International Media in the same year.
From 2021 to now, Yalan kept herself busy. She organized and directed the “Boston International Asian Music Festival” for the past 5 years. In 2024 and 2026, she also planned and directed “Sound of Spring”, a classical concert and Xuxia's Solo Concert at Jordan Hall, which received The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Award. Yalan used her extensive expert experience and knowledge from the Chinese media industry to nurture the cultural atmosphere of Asian Americans in the Boston area.
Hungha Wu 胡红霞
Hungha Wu is a lyrical soprano, Co-Chair of New Moon International Media, and former President of Weston WeStar Corp. She has served as General Coordinator of the Boston International Asian Music Festival for six consecutive years and has directed and planned the Weston Spring Festival five times.
Passionate about music from an early age, Hungha received numerous vocal competition awards during her university years and served as the lead vocalist of her university band. Known for her sweet and expressive voice, she specializes in Chinese folk music. Since 2020, she has organized and participated in public-service music projects including Let the World Be Full of Love, Believe in Love, and We Are Proud to Be Asian, earning recognition from mainstream media and creating a lasting community impact.
She has performed in productions including Dream of the Red Chamber, Liu San Jie, and A Shi Ma with the Boston Chinese Musicians Association, and is a recurring performer at the Boston International Asian Music Festival and Boston FeiGe Concert.
From 2023 to 2026, Hungha assisted Xchange Youth in organizing the inaugural WRLDArts Festival events in Serbia, Canada, and Yunnan, China, receiving coverage from 27 local media outlets. In 2024 and 2026, she organized the Sound of Spring classical opera concerts and Xuxia's Solo Concert at Jordan Hall, which received recognition from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
