She moved to Boston in 2017 and served as a guest lecturer at Berklee College of Music's China-US Music Forum from 2017-2019.
She has planned and directed the public service music video works "Believe in Love", "We are proud to be Asian", "The Boat of Dreams", as well as launched projects such as the All American Chinese Youth Online Spring Festival, established New Moon International Media in the same year. From 2021 until now, she organized and directed the “Boston International Asian Music Festival” in 2024 she planned and directed “Sound of Spring” Classic Concert at Jordan Hall, This Concert received The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Award.
Yalan's arrival to America completely revolutionized the conduct of Boston entertainment, artistic expression, and festivals of all kinds. She has set the standard and will continue pinoeering the creative frontier in the Boston music realm.

Hongxia Hu, a lyrical soprano, is the Co-Chair of New Moon International Media, Vice President of the Boston Chinese Musicians Association, and the President of Weston WeStar Corp.

She has served as the General Coordinator of the Boston International Asian Music Festival for three consecutive years and directed and planned the Weston Spring Festival three times. Passionate about singing, Hongxia frequently received vocal competition awards during her university years and served as the lead vocalist for the university band. With a sweet voice, she excels particularly in singing Chinese folk songs. Since 2020, during the pandemic, she has been actively involved in organizing several public service music video recordings, such as "Let the World Be Full of Love," "Believe in Love," and "We Are Proud To Be Asia." These initiatives have gained widespread attention from mainstream media, creating a positive and lasting impact. She has participated in performances of musicals such as "Dream of the Red Chamber," "Liu San Jie," and "A Shi Ma" with the Boston Chinese Musicians Association. Additionally, she has been a recurring performer at the Boston International Asian Music Festival and the Boston Flying Song concert, actively engaging in various communities in the greater Boston area.In late 2023, she assisted Xchange Youth in organizing the inaugural "WRLDArts Festival" music event in Serbia, which received extensive coverage from 27 local media outlets, causing a significant sensation.
